Challenges and innovation in the context of increasing demand – spotlight on Brazil
The FT Sustainable Agriculture Summit was organised in partnership with the Embassy of Brazil, and took place on Thursday 29 March 2012 at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in London.This high-profile conference, subtitled Challenges and innovation in the context of increasing demand, brought together 150 senior figures from the agricultural sector (retail, producers, importers, exporters and NGOs) to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with mainstreaming sustainable agricultural activity.
Co-chaired by Jonathan Wheatley, Deputy Emerging Markets Editor, and Javier Blas, Commodities Editor at the Financial Times, our distinguished line-up of speakers looked at the new initiatives, technologies and policies that are helping to address today's critical sustainable agriculture challenges, with special attention paid to the Brazil model.
