The Embassy of Brazil is promoting the seminar Brazil: Roadshow on Infrastructure Projects to be held at The London Hilton on Park Lane on Tuesday 4 November, from 9am to 1pm. The aim is to highlight investment opportunities created by the Brazilian government's Growth Acceleration Programme – a plan for upgrading the country's infrastructure that will entail total investment of around US$ 300bn by 2010. There will be opportunities for one-to-one meetings after the seminar.
The seminar will focus on the dredging of ports, motorway franchises, energy, and the high-speed railway link planned between the cities of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Campinas. Regulatory frameworks, tax incentives and financial instruments will also be discussed.
