Why Brazil? Why Now?

Investment Opportunities in Real Estate & Tourism Markets

Property prices in Brazil are rising by about 20% per year as the country officially emerges from recession. GDP grew by more than 1.9% in the second quarter of 2009, showing that the economy is bouncing back, and Moody's recently became the third major credit-rating agency in eighteen months to award Brazil investment grade status, citing the solidity and resilience of the Brazilian economy in the face of the global financial crisis.

At the 'Why Brazil? Why Now?' property investment seminar at the Embassy of Brazil on 21 October 2009, speakers from the Association for Inward Investment in the Northeast Region (ADIT Nordeste) and other experts discussed the opportunities and challenges facing the real estate market and presented three specific projects. The seminar also covered the hotel industry, the second-home market, and legal aspects of investing in Brazil.
