The Embassy of Brazil and Wines From Brazil celebrated the launch of its permanent presence on the Vinopolis 'Wine Trail' with a tasting of Brazilian wines on 22 May 2010. Nine producers from Brazil's six wine regions flew in to mark the occasion and a selection of red, white and sparkling wines are now available to taste and buy at Vinopolis. Wines from the following producers were tasted at the event:

  • Casa Valduga Vinhos Finos
  • Cia Piagentini de Bebidas e Alimentos
  • Lídio Carraro Vinícola Boutique
  • Miolo Wine Group
  • Pizzato Vinhas & Vinhos
  • Vinícola Aurora
  • Vinícola Irmãos Basso Ltd
  • Vinícola Salton
  • Vinícola Vinibrasil

Brazil is the third largest wine producer in South America. Its six different wine producing regions include Serra Gaúcha, where Vale dos Vinhedos is located, Serra do Sudeste, the country's newest winemaking area, and the São Francisco Valley, which has two harvests per year. The impressively wide range of Brazilian wines includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, together with other grapes such as Ancellota, Touriga Nacional, Malvasia Bianca and Prosecco.
