Wine production in southern Brazil has been increasing steadily in recent years and Brazilian varieties have been making inroads into a number of overseas markets – a fact reflected by the presence of numerous Brazilian winemakers at the London International Wine Fair in May 2009.
The Brazilian Wine Institute (Instituto Brasileiro do Vinho - IBRAVIN), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos - APEX-BRASIL), launched its new marketing campaign for Brazilian wines during the London International Wine Fair on 12-14 May at the ExCeL.
Wines from eleven different Brazilian winemakers were showcased at Wines from Brazil stand, reflecting Brazil's growing presence in the international market. Wine production in southern Brazil has been increasing steadily in recent years and Brazilian varieties have been making inroads into a number of overseas markets.
