Governor of Goiás visits London


On the evening of 7 December the governor of the Brazilian state of Goiás, Alcides Rodrigues Filho, will arrive in London for a two-day visit.

He will be accompanied by a trade mission that will be holding a series of meetings with representatives from British companies interested in the wide range of investment and trade opportunities in Goiás. The meetings will take place on 8 December at the Embassy of Brazil.

On 8 December Mr Rodrigues will attend a lunch offered by the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain. His agenda also includes meetings with Barry Gardiner MP (Parliamentary Secretary for Biodiversity, Landscape and Rural Affairs in the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs), and representatives from Anglo-American Base Metal, the International Meat Trade Association, and companies working in the area of bio-energy.

Mr Rodrigues will be available to talk to journalists between 12.30 and 1pm on 8 December at the Albufeira restaurant, Hotel Meliá White House, Albany Street, London NW1.
