Online library helps fight against corruption
25 May 2007
The Office of the Comptroller General (CGU), in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, has created an extensive online library on the subject of corruption. Its main aims are to encourage research and increase the amount of information available to the public.
The database, updated on a daily basis, currently contains more than 6,000 documents including academic studies, presentations and news articles. Some of the texts have been produced by international organizations. The subjects include abuse of power, conflict of interest, misappropriation of public funds, fraud, administrative improbity, money laundering, auditing techniques, and public transparency.
