Editora Guemanisse is running a writing competition with two categories: Crônicas and Textos Humorísticos. The competition is open to anyone writing in Portuguese.

a. Crônicas: A snapshot from life – either serious or fanciful; from the present day or the past; real or imaginary. Free choice of theme.

b. Textos Humorísticos: A comic narrative with free choice of theme.

• Submissions must be received by 15 May 2009.

• Texts must be no longer than 4 sides of A4 paper, typed in size-12 Times or Arial font, with line spacing of 1.5.
