The website of the Central Bank of Brazil has published a ‘Cartilha de Câmbio’ (Exchange Guide) containing advice for anyone making international transfers of money either to or from Brazil. (See ‘Cartilha de Câmbio’ in the 'Câmbio e Capitais Internacionais' section.) The guide is aimed particularly at those transferring relatively small amounts.

A comparison of the costs of sending and receiving small amounts of money from one country to another can be found in the 'Remittance Prices Worldwide' section of the website of the World Bank.
